About the Job
About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults and children with complex care needs and/or learning disabilities. As a Live-in Carer, you will live in the client's home during your placement, providing support that enables them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Assist with moving and handling using appropriate equipment where required.
  • Administer medication in line with care plans and company policies.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration.
  • Assist with household duties, including light cleaning and laundry.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate daily care records and report any concerns promptly.
  • Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety procedures at all times.
Complex Care Experience (Desirable):
Experience supporting one or more of the following:
  • Tracheostomy care.
  • PEG feeding.
  • Ventilator support.
  • Spinal injuries.
  • Brain injuries.
  • Epilepsy management.
  • Catheter care.
  • Stoma care.
  • Cough assist.
  • Suctioning.
  • End-of-life care.
  • Learning Disability Experience.
  • Experience supporting individuals with:
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Learning disabilities.
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
  • Mental health needs.
  • Behaviours that may challenge.
  • Communication difficulties.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months' professional UK care experience (live-in experience preferred).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Mandatory training certificates are desirable.
